ON THE EDGE
Have you ever felt so on the edge before? like if someone said something to you all you wanted to do was scream at the top of your lungs, slam the door in their face, or even ignore them? well let me tell you this, you are most definitely not alone. Lashing out on people is a pretty common side effect from any mental illness. Often times it occurs when we are pre or mid anxiety attack. This can be caused from stress, bad energy, or even something that we do not know. It is okay to not know what a certain feeling means. I know it can be the most stressful thing but sometimes just letting our bodies feel and flow through the day is better then setting a label for every single one of our feelings and actions. My best advice to you when this is occurs is to let the people in your life know that you need space and when you’re ready to talk you will. I also highly recommended blasting music that connects to your mood. I feel like a good mix between breakup songs and hype songs really get you going. For me lashing out had become a normal thing for me. I got so overwhelmed that when my anxiety was increasing on certain days I would be so mean to people. I then became super aware of the feeling and did things to help myself and get out of the funk before I was a raging B*TCH. Here are my best remedies to cure a lash out:
read a book
go for a drive
journal
exercise
cry (it’s good for you)
jam sess
call a loved one
shower
take a hot bath
nap it off
