healing takes time..

It takes time…..

Waiting requires a lot of patience and if you are on the path of healing you’re going to need some patience. Your life doesn’t change in a split second. It takes time to heal and remove the bad habits in your life. Taking your life day by day and doing small tasks is better than pushing yourself to do so much. At one point doing so much while healing can become extremely draining. It's smarter to take things slow so you don’t hurt yourself in the end. Overdoing everything in your life is a form of self-sabotage that can lead back to bad habits. That puts you right where you started. Sometimes you just need to stop and slow down your life. There's no need to move so fast. Slow down, please. If you know your body is mentally exhausted then it's obvious today is not the day to pile so much on to yourself. When we start to push ourselves so much and put so much pressure on ourselves we can trigger anxiety. It is different for everyone but if you are super anxious it's probably because whatever your doing is overwhelming. My best advice to make your day not so stressful is to make a plan, but the most important things first and then the less important so your day will end chill. You can plan a self-care weekday or too short to fully take care of yourself. During the week do things you've always wanted to do for yourself and something you know you’ve been needing to do. Simply go to buy some milk or take a stop to get yourself flowers. It's the little things that will help you grow. You have time to do what you need to do for yourself. There's always time to eat, sleep, and work. Most importantly there will always be time for you to take care of yourself. Whether it's when you wake up in the morning or right before you go to sleep just do something for yourself good day or bad. I can’t make a promise to you that your feelings will go away or your healing will be smooth. But I can promise you that every day whether there are ups or downs you have made so much progress. If you are out of bed today I am proud of you. Seriously, we don’t give ourselves enough credit. We break ourselves down every time we fail instead of learning from our mistakes or changing the way we do things. There are so many small things we can do in our life to change it up a bit. But in the end, it's up to you if you want to do better for yourself.
