Self-harm isn’t a mental illness but can lead to mental distress. Many people perceive cutting to be the main way of self-harm but there are other ways of self-harm that occur in our everyday life that we don’t realize is hurting us. To be completely honest sometimes self-harm doesn't look like self-harm at all.
